Emily Linda Ballantyne

Linda Ballantyne of Big Eddy, Manitoba passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at her home, at the age of 65 years.
Linda was born Friday, February 19, 1954 at Cumberland House, Saskatchewan. She was united in marriage to Sam Ballantyne, November 4, 1977 at Big Eddy, Manitoba. They had two sons and two daughters. She had a son from a previous relationship and also adopted two of her late sister's daughters and brought them up as her own.
Linda went to school at Sturgeon Landing up to grade 8. She left school to help out her family. She was a loving and caring person. She loved to sing and learned very hard to play a guitar and she can strum for herself.
Linda enjoyed the company of her friends. Her door was always open and never turned anyone away if they needed a place to stay. She was always willing to help other through good and bad times. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Linda cherished her grandchildren and always gave them a lot of compassion and tender loving care. In her early years, she had done foster care as well and fostered many children over the years.
Linda was noted to raise her voice to get someone's attention. She also loved to travel and attend various family occasions. No matter how far her children moved, she willingly took the time to travel and visit them, as well as her relatives who lived in various areas.
Linda had finished her work and fulfilled her duties and responsibilities. God didn't want her to suffer any more so he took her home to rest.
Linda is survived by her daughters Katherine (Nelson), Natalie (Peter), Pam (Peter), Camillia (Franklin); sons Richard (Becky), Delmere (Monica), Randy; sister Patsy; brothers Cornelius, Wesley (Donna); grandchildren Samaria, Emily, Delilah, Mia, Sophia, Natalya, Nigel, Nola, Nia, Cindel, Sadie, Elysha, Everette, Elaine, Richard Jr., Ellianna, Michael, Marie, Helen, Penny, Alice, Erica, Samiyah; five great grandchildren; sister-in-law Gertie Budd; numerous nieces and nephews to mention, as well as her Godchildren.
Linda was predeceased by her parents Charlie and Ann Budd; husband Sam Ballantyne; infant daughter Jennifer Budd; brothers Pierre, Jonas, Abraham, Rodrick, Robert; and sister Helen.
