Eric Francois Obituary
Unexpectedly Eric made his journey home to the spirit world on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, at the age of 54 years.
Eric, was born Saturday, July 25, 1964 to Phillip and Marguerite (Bighetty) Francois. Eric lived most of his teenage years in Pukatawagan, and moved to Winnipeg to pursue his education. Eric is also known to be a traveler, he met a lot of people in his travels, telling stories of his adventures, and bringing laughter to all that knew him. He would often drop by with family and friends, in Thompson, Lynn Lake and The Pas. Eric had a lot of fun filled stories to tell. You can always tell when he was around, with his big bouts of laughter, sounding his audience which was often family. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and his only daughter Irene (Sinclair) Colomb. His favorite nephew he loved spending time with in the city was Aron Ballantyne, who he nicknamed "Lard." Whenever he made it home to Pukatawagan, his first visit would be to his uncle "KING."
Eric will be sadly missed by his daughter Irene (Sinclair) Colomb; son-in-law Elvis Colomb; grandchildren Kyya, Greg, Byron Jr, Tyshaudre, Trew, Dustin, Verian, Emerson; great grandchild Jordon Sinclair; uncles Ignace "King" Bighetty, Jerome Colomb children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, Celestine (Marie) Colomb children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, Andrew (Sarah) Colomb children and grandchildren; brothers Lucien (Delhia) Francois and children, grandchildren, Thomas Francois, Cornelius Francois, Ricky Francois and children, Norton (Stacy) Francois and children, grandchild, Lucien Sinclair and children, grandchildren; adopted brother Alex Morin of Sandy Bay Saskatchewan; sisters Lorraine Francois, Debbie (Peter) Ballantyne (Francois) children and grandchildren; children from his late brothers Larry Francois and grandchildren, John Francois and grandchildren, Emile Francois and grandchildren, Wesley Francois and grandchildren, Jonas Sinclair children and grandchildren.
Eric was predeceased by and awaiting his arrival are his parents father Phillip Francois; mother Marguerite Bighetty; brothers Larry, John, Wesley, Emile; grandparents Jacob and Emily (Ballantyne) Francois, Francis and Catherine Bighetty; aunties Eva Francois, Ellise Bighetty, Melanie Bighetty, Catherine (Bighetty) Dumas, Marguerite (Arthur) Castel; uncles Fred Bighetty, John Bighetty, Adolph Dumas, Simeon Bighetty, John Colomb, Oscar Colomb, Harry Colomb; childhood friends awaiting for his arrival in the Pearly Gates of Heaven, Andrew "Rockie" Dumas, Roxy Hart.
