Esther Grace (Arneson) Tomyn

     Esther Tomyn was born Thursday, May 14, 1931 on the family farm near Tufnell, Saskatchewan.  Esther was the third of ten children.

     Esther met her future husband at a dance in 1947.  In 1949 Esther and her sister Stella married two brothers, Steve and Matt in a double wedding.  Steve and Esther were married for 67 years.

     They lived on a farm outside of Margo where they had their first daughter Louella and their first son Larry.  In 1956 the family moved up to Flin Flon where Steve started working for HBM&S.  In February of 1969 they lost their son Larry to a heart condition, and two weeks after his death their third child Marvin was born.  Esther was a stay at home Mom that never really retired.

     Esther's interests included knitting, various arts and crafts, music, dancing, baking and gardening.  

     In January of 2017 Louella passed.  Steve passed a few months later in April.  Esther passed away peacefully May 17, 2019 at Flin Flon General Hospital at the age of 88 years.

     Esther is predeceased by her parents Henry and Mary Arneson, brother Carl Arneson, sister Luciel Bross, husband Steve, daughter Louella, son Larry, and great granddaughter Rayleen Grant.

     Esther is survived by her son,Marvin (Diana Rosa), grandchildren, Shawna Grant (Scott Allen), Bev (Brad) Jackson,Cheryl Senyk(Darren Primrose), Keira Tomyn, Brookelyn Tomyn; seven great-great grandchildren, sisters, brothers, numerous nieces and nephews, and friends.
