Marc McKay Obituary
Always in our hearts a loving caring and compassionate brother, father, partner and uncle. Marc Marcel McKay also knowns as Neck, was born Tuesday, October 7, 1969 in The Pas, MB.
As a child growing up he loved to spend time with his parents, brothers and his sisters. Marcel grew up in Pukatawagan, MB and Granville Lake, MB. In Pukatawagan, everyone in the community knew him as "Neck" and would call him by his alias name.
During his past times growing up, Marcel enjoyed playing outdoors with his friends in Neya; he loved to hunt wild chicken, play road hockey and enjoyed working as a carpenter. Marcel enjoyed watching his favorite hockey team the Boston Bruins.
Marcel enjoyed his time providing care to numerous nieces and nephews and provided compassionate care to his big sister Lillian Colomb with cleaning and cooking. He was a rare combination of someone who had a love of life and an understanding of what was important - living a life with those you love.
Neck passed away peacefully at his home in bed Sunday, March 31st, 2019, at the age of 49 years.
Marcel is survived by children and grandchildren Jerome Colomb, Shane Ballantyne, Matthew Ballantyne (Marie and Evander), Nolan McKay, Alysha McKay (Rechshayla and Raylynn), Thea Bighetty (Karaleigh), Marcel Riley McKay Jr., Brandy Bighetty, Aiyana Bighetty, Styles Dumas-McKay, Makayo Dumas-McKay, and Mikayla McKay. Marcel had many adopted children and adopted as his own; partner Amanda Dumas; siblings Gabe (Flora) Bighetty, Elie (Flora) Bighetty, Adam (Gloria) Richard, Pat (Jackie) Bighetty, Fred Bighetty, Sophie (Ben) Garr, Lillian (Gary) Colomb, and Loretta (Ralph) Caribou; nephews Gilbert Bear Jr. and family, Cameron Wood and children, Vance (Jenny) Bighetty and children, Fred Baker and children, Ramsey Richard, James Richard and daughter, Freddy Caribou and children, Donovan (Viola) Castel and children, Vernon Bighetty, Kevin Bighetty and children, Cody (Tat) Bighetty, Terry (Kristen) Bighetty and children, Morgan Dumas, Alphonse (Sharon) Bighetty, Elton Bighetty and children, Gary (Brenda) Colomb and children, Ovide (Deanna) Bighetty, Tyrone (Cricket) Caribou and children and River Caribou and son; nieces Teffany (Gary) Francois, children and grandchildren, Shannon (Jarred) Charlette and Children, Jennifer (Eilliard) Colomb and children, Mandy Colomb and children, Gwen (Dean) McCallum and family, Laura (Eddie) Hastings, Charlene Bighetty, Lala (George) Bighetty and children, Kirsten Bighetty and family, Lacey Bighetty and daughter, Little Bow Bighetty, Elissa (Ron) Castel and children, Kerry Bighetty and children, Dorothy (William) Fitzner and family, Carol Baker and family, Maria Baker and daughter, Bernie (Trish) Baker, Elise (Riley) Colomb, Genevieve (Kristoffee) Caribou and son, Pearl Loonfoot and Family, and Josephine (Lobby) Linklater; uncle Ignace (King) Bighetty;

Marcel was predeceased by his parents Elise (Charlette) Bighetty and Fred Bighetty; siblings Diane Bighetty-Hart, Marie Rose Bear, Irene Baker and Alphonse Bighetty; auntie Melanie Bighetty; uncles Simone Bighetty and John Bighetty; sister-in-law Kathy Fourre; favorite nephew Gerald Dumas; and many relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
