Dakota
Lavallee
Sep 10, 1996 — Sep 4, 2026
Opaskwayak, Manitoba
It is with heaviness in our hearts we had to say goodbye to Dakota on September 4, 2026. Dakota Robert Lavallee was born on September 10, 1996 in The Pas, Manitoba. Throughout the years, Dakota had brought stupendous amounts of joy, love and laughter to everyone he met before his journey home to the creator. In 2011, Dakota met the mother of his children and together they had two beautiful boys; it was Dakota's proudest moment the day he became a father to Ty and Trey.
In his earlier years, Dakota was raised in the community of Cormorant, MB, where he and his older brother Branden who was also his best friend shared many adventures. These great adventures included expeditions of "fishing in the mountains," bike riding, swimming, rounds of street hockey under a street light, trapping, playing outside from sun up to sun down, all while hiding and running away from their mom, auntie and uncle when trying to bring them inside.
Dakota completed his education as valedictorian with the "Jobs and the Economy" and began his career with the trades field, in The Pas, MB. Dakota had a comical spirit and with his contagious laugh he leaves behind nothing but memories full of love and laughter with each person that came into his life. Dakota enjoyed making short videos that he shared with others to make them laugh. Dakota had his own language that he shared with others whether it was the nickname he gave you "Bran skin, Uncle pom pow, Lindor's, Hoarder of the year, My buttah, Lou-weinea and whatever name he has given to you".
Dakota will be remembered by his famous quote, "We Out-chea!" Dakota was a devoted NHL hockey fan and loved the Edmonton Oilers!
Dakota leaves behind his two adorable sons; Ty Cruz Lavallee-Nasekapow and Trey Carter Lavallee.
