Eli George Caribou was born Friday, July 7, 1961 in The Pas, Manitoba to Louie and Annie Caribou. He was raised in Pukatawagan and Burntwood Lake, until he later left for school in Guy Hill, Manitoba. He then moved home to Pukatawagan and then moved to "the city" and moved back home to Pukatawagan where he finally stayed until his passing.

Eli loved the outdoors, boating, berry picking, going for walks, visiting, hanging around with his nephews, nieces, his buddies, Leon Bighetty, Mike Dumas, Betsy Sinclair, Phi "Bunky" Castel, Carol Caribou, Edward Colomb.

Eli is survived by his brothers, Baptiste, Simon; sister Doris; nieces Isabelle Caribou, Cheryl, Chelsie, Sharona, Jasmine, Rainfeather, Grace Dumas, Jazlyn (Laurence) and their children; daughter Jazmine and her daughter; sisters-in-law Sylvia Caribou and family; brother-in-law, Philip Castel; nephews Wayne Caribou, Steven Castel, Stuart Castel, Simon Castel.

Eli was predeceased by parents Louie and Annie Caribou; siblings Cecile Caribou, Mary Caribou, Agnes P. Castel, Beverly Caribou, Victoria Caribou, Peter Caribou, James Caribou; nephews and niece Jaymes Jr., Wanda Caribou; uncles and aunties Joe (Ann) Caribou, Emile (Flora) Caribou, George (Marie) Caribou, Emile "Scottie" Caribou.  If we forgot anyone it was not intentional.
