Enayda
Spence
Apr 18, 2014 — Jun 26, 2026
Opaskwayak, Manitoba
Enayda Dean Spence graced the universe with her beautiful light on the morning of Good Friday, April 18, 2014 becoming a proud member of Opaskwayak Cree Nation. Enayda was gifted to the luckiest parents, Amanda and Manny, and brought together two families who loved her immensely. Many knew her as Nayda Beans, as she had a few nicknames from family, such as "Geeda", "Bobba Deeds". "Has anyone told you how beautiful you are today?" Nayda's face would light up and she would smile, that would stop time for a moment.
Enayda attended Joe A. Ross School in her home community and made a lot of friends up until Grade 5. Nayda loved her family tremendously. She had a special bond with each of her aunties, uncles and cousins. Born an old soul bringing love and wisdom were some of her special gifts she shared as people really connected with her.
Her favorite color is purple and she loved Hello Kitty. She loved looking at the skies with mommy. "That's beautiful, mom!" She would point up and love and appreciate nature's beauty.
Nayda would share and tell jokes as she had a crazy wonderful sense of humor. "My goodness child" mommy would say sometimes because her comebacks were brutally funny.
She loved getting hugs and kisses from mommy every morning. We held hands, laughed, and cried together. "I love you so much mommy" was the best sound in the whole wide world.
Nayda was like a second daughter to her auntie Del. That bond was so beautiful to watch because Nayda loved her auntie so much and would always ask "When's auntie coming back home?". She would always hug and greet her auntie as she walked in the door and would follow her whenever she would go for a ride.
Nayda brought so many teachings with her: happiness, forgiveness, courage, faith, and most importantly, love.
Nayda had so much love that, tragically, she developed a heart condition. Even though she was sick, it did not stop her from being this amazing, beautiful and brave little girl. Mom would often ask Nayda "do you know where the most beautiful place in the universe is?" she would ask, "where?" and I'd lay my head on her chest and say "right here!". She would hug me so tight.
Creator needed Nayda back, so she went back as loved ones came to welcome her home on June 26, 2026. Nayda's daddy was with her during her final year and she was so happy to have her dad by her side.
Nayda joins her grampa Joe Spence, big sister Tianna Shingoose, Auntie Shelly, Auntie Skippy, Uncle Sonny in the spirit world where they rejoice and welcomed her with loving open arms.
Carrying on her teachings here on earth, is mommy, daddy, kookom Margie, grampa Silas, Gramma Shingoose, siblings Evan, Tamia, Jeremiah, Tiller; Aunties: Del, Anna, Billy Joe, Tree, Jess, Brittany and sister/cousin Liz. Nayda comes from a huge family with numerous aunts, uncles, kookoms, adopted grampa Ahab Constant, and cousins from the Lathlin and Spence families: Liz, Shai, Mandy, Nessa, Kinsley, Taylor-moon, Teagan, Esme, Rosalie, Hunter and Dion. Best friends: Erica, Kylee, Kaysln, Natalya, and Shane.
