Horst was born in Germany, July 11, 1939 to Johann and Luise Wilhemina Wagner.

Horst moved away from his family and built a lifetime of memories in The Pas.  He raised a family, lived and worked as a proud member of the community.

Horst became known as the "Man with the Huskies".  He could be seen walking his beloved Siberians, Casino and Reba.  Horst was an active, cheerful participant in all things Trappers' Festival.  He will be remembered and missed by people, too many to be mentioned.

Horst was also an avid hunter, fisherman and trapper.  He had a great love for the outdoors and exploring adventures.  He once left a note on the kitchen table, "Gone to the Seal River."  No date of return, nothing.  He made it home safely a few weeks later.

Horst was predeceased by his loving parents; his son Vincent.  He is survived by his daughter Bonnie; son-in-law Michael; grandchildren Michaela, Samantha and Gabriel; Norm, Della, Shayla, Ashley (his Goddaughter) and Rebecca Johnson.

Horst was very close to his church family at the Bible Baptist Church in The Pas.  Dad will be dearly missed by his loving and supportive friends David and Michelle Brauer and their family.

Dad had so many people who loved him in his life.  There will always be a special place in heaven for those who always made time to be a part of his life.  Dad loved you all so much.  Wouter and Linda Hugo, your letter of goodbye was so touching.

In keeping with Horst's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held at this time.
