Joseph Bernard Bighetty 'Bruno' was born on April 30, 1961, in Lynn Lake, Manitoba.

He spent most of his life in Pukatawagan. Bruno had a charming personality, he was a very outgoing, fun and happy guy. He enjoyed the outdoors and what mother nature had to offer and was a Guide at the hunting lodges during the summers. He also was a fire fighter. He enjoyed walking and doing his artwork. Bruno and Beverly Hart fostered children throughout the years they were together. Bruno loved all his children and grandchildren unconditionally.

Bruno passed away on September 17, 2026, at the age of 65 years old. He is survived by his daughters Linda (Archie) Castel, Mary (Mitchel) Castel, son Bruno Jr Castel, stepson Clyde Hart, grandchildren Francois Castel (Cindy), Kayla Castel (Makayla Zakary) Mike Castel, (Cortez Castel) Alison Colomb, Littlebear Colomb, Amiah Colomb, Memory Colomb, Wallace Castel, Millie Castel, Korra Welburn, Casca Welburn, Terence Castel, Ginger Castel, Keegan Castel.

Nephews;  Mike (Barb), Vern, Ryan, April ( Byron) Buck and grandchildren,  Patrick Dumas Katelyn Bee Crystal Bee, Koda Bee, Trish Colomb, Chad Colomb, Norman (Nancy), Marie Travis ( Brooklyn), Daniel  Dumas, Nanson (Tami) Dumas, Reyse Dumas, Norma Dumas, Haley (Freddy) Dumas, Dhajia (Dino) Dumas and grandchildren  Willie (Georgina Walker) Dumas,  Amber and grandchildren, Fred Dumas, Dennis (Lynn) Dumas,  Shawn Dumas, Justin Dumas, Kayla Dumas, Scott Dumas, Tiffany Dumas, Bernie Colomb, Monica Dumas and grandchildren, nieces; Barb Dumas, Jimmy, Jonathan ,Theresa, Tammy (Cory) Lowen, and grandchildren, Virginia Dumas (Danny) Colomb, Daniel, Clyde, Joseph, Charity, Dinah and grandchildren, Lydia (Arnold ) Laliberty, Ira, Haley, Kyle, and grandchildren, Veronica Kenya, Hunter, Troy, Sheldon, Niko, and grandchildren,  Maryanne, Norman, Clayton Shepherd, Conan Bighetty, Tamica Dumas, Oliver Shepherd, Rachel (Brooks) Fontaine-Bighetty, Brother in-law Eli McDonald.

Joseph Bernard 'Bruno' Bighetty was predeceased by his parents George and Harriet Bighetty; brother's Simon (Janie) Bighetty, Frank Bighetty, Theodore Bighetty, Stan Bighetty, Marcel Bighetty, Julian Bighetty, sisters; Theresa (Norman) Dumas, Lillian Macdonald, Emma (Mathew) Fontaine, daughter Nicole Maggie Castel, nephew Jeremy Dumas, niece Nora McDonald, Charmaine McDonald, Stella Dumas. If we forgot anyone it was not intentional.
