It is with heavy hearts that her children, Cherysse Mackechnie, Chantelle Roach, and Byron Saxinger, announce the passing of their beloved mother, Loretta, affectionately known as Lorette and Chichee-ann, on August 9, 2026.

Loretta spent a good part of her childhood being lovingly raised by her Mommy, Aunty Mary, in Cormorant, Manitoba. Those early years helped shape the strong sense of family that remained such an important part of who she was throughout her life.

Family meant everything to Loretta. She cherished the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family. She found great joy in being surrounded by the people she loved and creating memories together.

Loretta also enjoyed playing cards, spending time outdoors, and participating in outdoor sports. Some of the fondest memories her children will carry with them are the way their mom always made a big deal about birthdays and holidays, making those special occasions feel even more meaningful. They will also forever remember their summer camping trips together — memories that will be treasured for years to come.

Loretta will be lovingly remembered by her children: Cherysse Mackechnie, and her children Mackenz, Chloe, Asia, and Halle; Chantelle Roach, her husband Darcy, and their children Austin and Leah; and Byron Saxinger, his wife Candice, and their son Maverick.

She will also be deeply missed by her extended family, including her many nieces, nephews, and all those whose lives she touched.

Though she is no longer with us, the love she gave, the traditions she created, and the memories she made with her family will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Forever loved, forever missed,

and never forgotten.

Rest peacefully, Mom.
