Obituary

Monday, December 29, 2025, a wonderful father, grandfather, friend left the earth to his eternal home. We will mourn his passing, we will grieve, cry, laugh but most important is the legacy he left for us to pursue in his memory. Martin was a compassionate, kind loving man to all.

Martin was born Sunday, August 4, 1935 in Nelson House, Manitoba to Helen and William Colomb.

Martin was a very traditional man who shared his teaching to his children, He loved the outdoors. He enjoyed picking his medicine, hunting, fishing, trapping and camping (He LOVED his wild food). Martin loved telling his stories to his family and friends.  He gave his grandchildren and great grandchildren unique Cree nicknames and that's how he remembered them.

He left to mourn his passing, his children

Lawrence Colomb (Philomene), Judy Colomb (Baptiste), Marvin Colomb, William Colomb, Yvan Colomb (Anne), Irvin Colomb, Gladys Sinclair, Archie Colomb, Valerie Colomb, adopted daughter Marlene Colomb; grandchildren he raised Orlena Price (Kyle), Patricia Colomb, Lorenzo Blacksmith, Martin Colomb (Ayas), Trea Colomb, O'Ryan Colomb; siblings Jean Merasty, Theresa Bighetty

Martin will be united with his wife Caroline Colomb; his mom and dad, William and Helen Colomb; daughters Bernice Morissette and Pearl Colomb; siblings Mary, Cecile, Victoria, Hycinth, Cornelius.

Martin will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and many relatives and friends too numerous to mention.  If we forgot anyone it was not intentional.
