Obituary

For the last four years. Bob was on a journey with life that had taken an unexpected detour. He took this detour with the grace, strength & kindness we all knew & loved him for.

It was decided on onset, that this wouldn't be looked upon as a "battle" or "fight". Opting for quality, with no regrets, we collectively stuck cancer in our back pockets & got on with living & loving instead. We found that living life for the moment, with no tomorrow promised, brought with it the ability to unearth so many treasures that most might miss out on. We were very blessed & entering our home, you wouldn't know cancer resided within its walls. We refused to let it rule our home & when entering, you were instead greeted with a sense of peace & a mountain of strength. Knowing Bob, you can understand how he could pull this off, like it was a natural thing. Together, we formed a strong tag team & continually kicked cancer to the corner, while we high fived one another in the next room.

Bob's wish was for cremation, with no service to follow. With Bob's stamp of approval, we will be holding a Celebration of Life this coming summer, out at Pioneer Bay. Date to be later announced. I'm looking forward to all of us getting together & celebrating the life of this most remarkable man.

Thank you to family & friends that supported us, laughed & cried with us, held us up when we needed it & loved us unconditionally. You know who you all are.

A special thank you to Jana, Bev & Dr.  Darr. What a remarkable team to have in our corner & we, the family, cannot thank you enough for all you did for Bob, & for lighting our path on what was sometimes a dark part of the journey.

Thank you so much Neil, for recognizing & respecting what was needed & when to move forward with it. I am forever grateful to you.

He's not gone, he's got his arm around your shoulders, all the time. I know this, because I feel his other arm is draped over mine. Listen carefully, you'll hear him whisper, "I'm right here, I never left you"

Lastly and most importantly, thank you Bob.

For enriching our lives with your endless love, strength, stubborn determination, sense of humor & joy of life itself.

We love you to no end & miss you more than words can begin to say but the tears do speak volumes.

Fly high & pain free

Till we meet again

In keeping with family wishes, cremation will take place and a service will be held in the summer of 2023.
