It is with great sadness that the Bear, McDonald, Castel and  Caribou families announce the sudden passing on Aug 6, 2026 in Flin Flon, Manitoba of Our son Rueben Shane Castel at the age of 30 years old.

Rueben lived in Pukatawagan, MB & Sandy Bay, SK then lived in Puk where he met his wife Rhonda Caribou/Castel and have 5 loving children with one on the way. Rueben loves the outdoors, especially being out on the boat. Driving up & down the Churchill River. He loved to fish. He was a truck pull champion and he love to help out anywhere he could. Rueben was a very happy humble person. It was always good laughs and jokes with him.

We were fortunate to have spent the last year of his life at home in Sandy bay with his mother, his brother Ray, His sister Angel, his grandparents Joesph & Hazel McDonald, especially his little cousins Dwayne Morin Jr., Lauren Morin & baby Jolene Morin.

He cared for his children everyday he was at home (SB) with us, he was the captain of his granny Hazels boat. We will miss you, forever in our hearts, Rest peacefully

Rueben was predeceased by: his baby Mikisew Edward Castel, his Grandparents Eli & Marie Bear, Stanley Castel Sr. Uncle Brent Morin, His auntie Debra Castel, Mandy Castel, Auntie Rose Skeavington, his cousins Willard Castel and Joesph Colomb & Morin Babies.

Survived by his wife & children Rhonda Castel, Adele Justice, Anaya, Anayla, Rueben Jr. & baby Castel. His Parent; Amy R Bear & Stanley Castel Jr. Second Parents; Steven & Corrine Castel. God parents Marilyn Morin & Late Albert Skeavington,  His Siblings; His baby Brother Ray & sister Angel; Step Siblings; Darren, Savard, Manson, Naison, Kelsey, Halo, Serenade & Yolanna. Grandparents; Catherine Castel, Joesph & Hazel McDonald. Godson; his baby Kaynon Castel, Goddaughter Yolania McDonald. His auntie & Uncle, Jolene Stewart, Jeffrey McDonald, Cara Morin, Brandi McDonald, Brandon McDonald, Rose Bear; his cousins Mackenzie, Lana, Autumn, Shelton & Carson. Numerous Aunties & Uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews & Friends.

If we forget anyone we are truly sorry as we do have a big family.
