Obituary

It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Trevor Wazny, age 46, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Taken from us far too soon, Trevor brought a unique light into the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Trevor is survived by his beloved children, Taylor (20), Tori (17), and Tristan (9); his sister, Tiffany, his father, Gregory (Sue), the mother of his children, Tarah, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was predeceased by his brother, Michael, his mother, Diane; and his grandparents, John and Bernice Wazny; and Daniel and Pauline Woloshyn.

Raised in The Pas, MB, Trevor lived life with infectious energy and a genuine heart. His contagious laugh, natural charisma, and ability to connect with others made him someone people were instantly drawn to. Known for his quick wit and generous spirit, Trevor had a remarkable gift for making those around him feel valued and accepted.

As a child, Trevor spent countless summers at the family cottage on Clearwater Lake, MB, creating memories that would last a lifetime. An accomplished water-skier and wakeboarder, he never passed up the chance to send a towering "rooster tail" of water toward unsuspecting cottage neighbours relaxing on their docks. Trevor excelled at nearly everything he set his mind to. Growing up, he participated in soccer, hockey, and competitive swimming, developing a lifelong passion for water sports. He even enjoyed a brief stint in ballet. His love of soccer was later shared with his son, Tristan.

Trevor was happiest when embracing adventure. He loved spending time outdoors in any season, whether dirt biking or snowmobiling. In his adult years, Trevor developed a passion for boxing and downhill mountain biking. His adventurous spirit led to countless stories, each one better than the last, and he never tired of sharing a good laugh about his latest escapade.

One of Trevor's gifts was making friends wherever he went. Whether reconnecting with friends or sharing stories, Trevor had a way of making people feel like they belonged. He loved reminiscing about old adventures and laughing with family and friends who meant so much to him. His friends will remember his sense of humour, larger-than-life personality, and the countless adventures they shared.

In his early twenties, Trevor left The Pas, MB, and moved to Alberta, in search of new opportunities. He began his career in the oilfield industry, where his strong work ethic and dedication allowed him to steadily advance through the ranks. His work took him across Canada and as far away as Australia. Trevor took pride in his accomplishments and had a well-known appreciation for vehicles, enjoying many cars and trucks over the years. Whether dedicating himself to his career, pursuing his passions, or helping those he cared about, Trevor approached life with determination and enthusiasm.

Above all else, Trevor's greatest joy was his children. They were the center of his world and his proudest accomplishment. He cherished every opportunity to spend time with them, share stories, create memories, and watch them grow.

A celebration of Trevor's life will be held at a later date.
