Adam was born in The Pas on Tuesday, June 11, 1957. He lived in High Rock, Pukatawagan, Cross lake, Guy Hill, Portage La Prairie, and Brandon. Adam attended school at Guy Hill, Cross Lake residential school, Crocus Plains Regional Secondary School, University of Brandon and Pukatawagan BUNTEP.
On December 22, 1988, Adam married Gloria Caribou. They had 4 sons.
Adam loved sports. He played hockey until he was forty-one and enjoyed playing slow pitch baseball. He was passionate about watching all kinds of sports. In his free time, he liked to play solitaire.
Adam had many great friends, but he especially cherished his childhood friends: Patrick Bighetty, Elie Castel, Shirley Castel, Eric Blacksmith, Doris, Joe-Man, Gordie Bear, Delinda and Ray, and Peter and Belinda. He called them his brothers and stayed close to them, often sharing wonderful memories. Adam also loved sharing gospel music and was always willing to help at services. He rarely missed a service.
Adam worked at Sakastew School in various roles. He was an educational assistant, substitute teacher, maintenance worker, guidance counselor, and truancy officer. Adam always encouraged others to enjoy life. He reminded people to care for one another and to keep learning, because education is important for a good future.
Adam often talked about his family in High Rock and Cross Lake and visited whenever he could. He was immensely proud of his grandparents and how they managed life at High Rock and Cross Lake. He never forgot the stories, the moose meat, fish, berries, and other wild game his grandparents and cousins trapped and harvested. He shared these stories with energy and pride. His grandparents were the keepers of the family history, and Adam told their stories with love and respect. Through these stories, he kept their legacy alive, teaching us important lessons and reminding us of where we came from. Adam believed that family history is the foundation we build our lives on. He lived a life full of meaningful connections, showing us how stories shape who we are.
Judys Bannock was also his favorite all he had to pick up the phone and she delivered fresh right out of the oven.
