It is with great sadness in the passing of our loved one. He snuck away from us suddenly, this was a phrase he has said for quite some time. On Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at the age of 84, he left us peacefully at The Pas Health Complex.
Albert worked throughout his life, fishing ,trapping and also worked in various places from a younger age. He enjoyed
teaching his commercial fishing skills to his sons. After he retired, he showed his grandson Morgan his specialties, trapping, hunting and skinning wild game. During his free time, he would find stuff to do around the house. His exercise was cleaning the yard and cutting grass, chopping wood and after he was done, you would find him sitting by his woodstove enjoying the fire with a cup of tea.
He also enjoyed making little projects for his wife, like
looking after the birds that came around the house. Albert was
always glad when his brothers and sister stopped by to visit him
especially his regular visitors, Floss Fournie, Joe Knight, Don and Annabelle Campbell, Thomas Mink, Keenan Ross, Victor Cook, Nelson Menow, Dale Lavallee and James Ettawakapow. He also enjoyed having his in-laws over for visits. His precious time was spending it with their grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Albert was a simple man and was known to be shy. He was very unique and personal, something a lot of people didn’t know about him. He had a humorous sense of personality. He had a lot of compassion and was very humble.
One of the things he was good at was setting off his wife with his little remarks and he would just laugh at her, they looked so cute together. Family was very important to him and when one did not show up, he would always ask. about them. He taught his family to love one another and he was very supportive in his children's goals.
Albert united into marriage to Olive Campbell on January 31, 1961, and they celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2011. They were married for 58 years. They were blessed with eight children and adopted three of their grandchildren. Albert was born in Pine Bluff, Manitoba and when they were kids, his mother moved them back to Moose Lake after their dad’s passing and has lived here all his life. Albert along with all his in– law’s gave their life to the Lord in 1979. His faith was strong and we feel at ease knowing he went home to be with the Lord. He leaves for us cherished memories.
