Alice Marie (Litwicky) Tye

Alice Tye was born in Ethelbert, Manitoba on January 24, 1943. She grew up in Ethelbert and moved to Cranberry Portage in 1959, where she met and fell in love and married Raymond Tye.

In 1961, Alice moved to Thompson, Manitoba where she lived until 1970. Then that year she returned to Cranberry Portage with her family and held numerous jobs within the community.

Alice's two passions were cats and hairdressing. She loved her pets and enjoyed socializing with the people she worked with.

Alice passed away peacefully on June 21, 2023 with several immediate family members by her side.

She is survived by her son, Darryl (Angie) Tye; son, Dave Tye (Carmen Madland-Fisher); daughter, Kathy (Geordie) Head; son in law, Kirk (Lannie) Leptick; Grandchildren: Scott (Erin) Tye, Ashley Tye (Shane Luke), Danielle (Andrew) Brooker, Chris Tye (Destiny Flett), Chantelle (Brad) Mckay, Jeremy Head (Destiny Swingle), Brandy Leptick, Cole (Aimee) Leptick and numerous other great grandchildren as well as other relatives.

Alice was predeceased by her husband Raymond Tye in 1980: her father Michael Litwicky, 1988: her mother Katrina Litwicky, 2000: her daughter Brenda Leptick, 2001, her brother Morris Litwicky, 2011, and her longtime partner George White, 2017.

That only you could hear.

And no one heard the footsteps, 

Of angels drawing near.

The golden gates stood open,

God saw you needed rest.

His garden must be beautifal,

He only takes the best.

In keeping with family wishes, cremation has taken place and a private graveside internment will be held at a later date.
