In Loving Memory of
Allan Gerald “Lumoo” Constant
April 27, 1958—June 21, 2026
Allan Gerald Constant passed away Sunday, June 21, 2026, at St. Anthony’s Hospital, The Pas, Manitoba, at the age of 68 years.
Allan was born in The Pas, Manitoba on Thursday, April 27, 1958 and was the oldest son of the late Reverend Alex Daniel Thomas Constant and Reverend Priscilla Constant. He lived most of his life in Opaskwayak Cree Nation, MB and worked in various place of employment such as Manfor, Repap, Tolko, Department of Highways and security at Otineka Mall, OCN.
He had a sense of humor and always had a joke to share, and gave nicknames to most of his nieces and nephews. He loved having them over to visit and always had a saying “Can You Dig it”.
Allan became known in the family to even name everyone’s beloved pets the weirdest and uncommon names. He loved playing cards and dice games and socialized with those who came to visit. His favourite sport was soccer, and he was a big fan of the Montreal Canadiens and had a nickname “Guy Lafleur”. He often spoke about his time playing soccer with his friends and reminisced about the old times. He was well-liked and by many who came to know him and was a pillar of the family when things became hard, and he offered help in any way he could. He liked playing horseshoes and enjoyed the outdoors, camping at Dad's old camp and spending time with family and friends, fishing during the summer and winter months.
Allan leaves behind brothers Tommy (Trudy) Constant, Glen Constant, Gabriel Constant; sisters Irene Constant, Sandra Constant (Bart), Della Ballantyne (late Greg Ballantyne), Val (Leon) Pelly, Veronica and Selena Constant (Justin Lathlin). Numerous nephews and nieces, cousins, in-laws and adopted brothers. He came from a big family with too many names.
Allan was predeceased by his father Rev. Tom Constant; grandparents Thomas and Madeline Constant, John and Mary Highway; uncles and aunts Jim Highway, Douglas Highway, Rosalie O’Krane, Linda and Joe Henderson, William Constant, Joe Constant, Mathew Constant, Simon Constant, Eric Constant, Linda and Harvey Sanderson, Helen and Peter Young; nieces and nephew Lenea Pelly, Durand and Magan Constant; brother-in-law Greg Ballantyne.
We give our sincere apologies to those if we haven’t mentioned, it was not intentional.
