Alvin Earl Castel

Alvin Earl Castel was born Wednesday, September 25, 1968 in the Lynn Lake Hospital in Lynn Lake, Manitoba to the late Alvin Clifford Castel Sr. and the late Helen Castel.

Alvin was raised at Prayer River along with his siblings.  Alvin lived in Winnipeg, Thompson and decided to come live in Pukatawagan. Alvin loved spending time with family and friends. He loved making people laugh with his humor.  Alvin loved helping anyone in need, especially the homeless.

For the last few years he had to relocate to Winnipeg for dialysis. Alvin was humorous, he loved to go fishing, hunting, spending time with relatives. Alvin passed away due to his illness, Saturday, February 1, 2025 at his home in Winnipeg, at the age of 56 years.

Alvin will be truly missed by all his children, family and friends. is survived by his sons Kurt Castel, Morey Colomb; daughter Reanna Campbell; grandchildren Carlisle Colomb, Addison Francois, Elijah Colomb, Cameron Colomb, Melody Colomb; sister Corriene Castel; brother Bradley Castel; nieces Holly Colomb, Tiffany Castel; aunties Mary Ann Bighetty and family, Doreen Daniels; uncles Solomon Bighetty and family, Simeon Bighetty and family, Louie Bighetty, Lloyd Daniels, Roy Daniels, Paul Colomb and family, Edward Colomb and family, Angelique Dumas & family,  Beardy family in Split Lake; grandmothers Isabell Bighetty, Victoria Daniels; grandfathers Alphonse Bighetty, Luke Daniels; cousins Norman Caribou, Alphonse Bighetty, Garfield Caribou, Wally Caribou, Peter Bighetty, Jerome Colomb, Robert Bighetty, George Bighetty, Charlie Bighetty, Donovan Bighetty, Isabell Bighetty, Martha Bighetty, Tanya Bighetty, Rosemary Bighetty, Angie Bear; special friend Ruby Castel; adopted sons Rayvon Hart, Harley Bighetty; adopted daughters Kerry Castel, Freedom Castel, Cherish Castel, Skyler Dumas; adopted grandchildren too many to mention. If we forgot anyone it was not intentional.

Alvin was predeceased by his parents Alvin and Helen Castel; brothers Kenneth Castel, Norman Bighetty; sister Carmella Betty Castel; grandparents Luke and Victoria Daniels, Isabelle and Alphonse Bighetty; grandson Logan Robert Castel; cousins Alvin Bighetty, Leo Bighetty, Daryl Dumas, Serena Bighetty; daughter Sioux Colomb.
