Carrie Partridge Obituary

Carrie Partridge (nee Bignell) was born on Saturday, November 27, 1953 in The Pas, Manitoba to Clara and Samuel Bignell.  She lived in Carrot River until the age of 7 or 8 and from there she went to Residential School in Dauphin, Manitoba until 1972.

            Carrie met her first husband Norman Bloomfield and together they had two children, William (Jen) Bignell and Cheryl Pelly.  They later separated in the late 70’s and later on she met Andrew Partridge and they married in Salmon Arm, BC on April 29, 1988 and together they had two boys Andrew (Amanda) Partridge and Francis Partridge.

            Carrie worked as a guidance counselor in Kamloops, BC and then a packer in Salmon Arm, BC until they decided to move back home in 1998.  Carrie started work at MCH in the kitchen for a couple of years and then she started work at Joe A. Ross as a custodian.

            Carrie enjoyed watching horror movies and visiting with her sisters and grandchildren.

            Carrie passed away on Monday, May 22, 2026 at 6:00 pm, with her husband and son by her side, in the Brandon Regional Hospital, Brandon, Manitoba, at the age of 72 years.

            Carrie is survived by her husband Andrew; sons Andrew (Amanda) Partridge, Francis Partridge, William (Jen) Bignell; daughter Cheryl Pelly; grandchildren Orlando, Jeredeth, Andrew, Kylie, Nathan Jr., Natasha, Lisa, Tanya, Tara, Jodi, Marley, William, Mitchell, Shaylee; great grandchildren Lennox, Joshua, Alaia, Zoey, Kylo, Luca, Zavion, Adaline; sisters Louisa Lathlin, Blanche (Angus) Sewap, Emma Crane, Annie (Peter) Buck, Madeline Lathlin; brother Nathan Bignell.

            Carrie was predeceased by her parents Samuel and Clara Bignell; grandparents William and Maria Lathlin; brothers Thomas Bignell, Harvey Bignell, Ted Bignell, Jonah (Isabel) Young, Simon (Martha) Bignell, Gilbert (Della) Bignell; sisters Mary (Stephen) Head, Gladys Gott; nephews Charles Head, Bradley Buck, Ted Bignell; nieces Cynthia Scott, Karen Head; great nephews Wyatt and Ethan Flett, Gerrod Head, Dylan Head; son-in-law Nathan Pelly; granddaughter Kimberly Pelly; great grandson Kye Pelly; brother-in-law Glenn Lathlin.  If we forgot anyone it was not intentional.
