Christopher Joseph Cook
Christopher Joseph Cook, 58, of The Pas, Manitoba, passed away suddenly on July 11th, 2024. Born to Victoria and Fred Cook June 2nd, 1966, in The Pas, MB, Chris was a beloved partner and dedicated friend to the ones he surrounded himself with.
Chris spent his early years spending as much time in the bush as he could and attended MBCI. He later pursued a career with Opaskwayak Cree Nation, working at the Paskwayak Business Development Corporation for 22 years, where he made a lasting impact with his dedication and expertise.
Chris is survived by his common-law partner, Kimberly, and their children, Hannah and Avery, who brought immense joy and fulfillment to his life. He is also survived by many other family members, too many to mention. Chris was predeceased by his siblings, Helen Laliberty, Sarah Cook, Rose Sinclair-Cook.
An avid outdoorsman, Chris was known for his willingness to haul moose out of the bush by himself. He enjoyed working with his hands and was always ready to lend a helping hand or drop everything to serve others. His loyalty and willingness to go the extra mile for his people will never be forgotten.
In respect of his desires, there will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Chris’s honor.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew and loved him.
In keeping with Chris's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal funeral service will be held.
