Please note
It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing for our beloved, daughter, granddaughter, sister, auntie, and friend, Darcelle Zoey Lecuyer. She passed away at home in Moose Lake, MB, on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at 7:30 PM. Darcelle spent 15 wonderful years with her family filled with love, laughter, and precious memories. Darcelle was the daughter of Toby Lecuyer and the late Hazel Rose Lecuyer (Nee Menow) and she was loved beyond words. Darcelle was born on Saturday, July 10, 2010, at St. Anthony’s Hospital in The Pas, MB. She was the youngest out of 8 siblings. Darcelle was our baby of the family. She will always hold a special place in our hearts. Despite being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes at the young age of 13 years old, Darcelle lived her life to the fullest, embracing every moment with strength and grace. No matter the difficulties. Her infectious laugh and love remained the brightest parts of her. Sometimes Darcelle would tease and unexpectedly slap you in the face. She was born with down syndrome, our miracle baby. She was special to all of us, and we will miss her so much. She was so loved by everyone around her. Our strong, happy girl. Darcelle loved to play with others, especially in school. She attended FMS and grade 9. She loved listening to music and watching her favorite cartoons The Simpsons, Despicable Me, especially The Minions. Darcelle loved the outdoors, especially long walks with her dad and nephew Evan. They would go to the dock and watch the water. It would always be the three of them, nobody knew the special bond they had and unconditional love they showed each other. Darcelle is survived by her dad, Toby Lecuyer; sisters Roberta, Mallory, Faith, and April; brothers Bobby and Alex (Ernest); nephews Rayden, Quinton, Jerome, Evan, Baby Ajay, Bradley, Baby Toby, Baby Bobby, Gordon; grandparents Nelson Menow; William Head Sr. (Lola Campbell), Theo Head (Ida Head), and Beverly Lecuyer; aunties Michelle Lecuyer, Natalie Menow, Millie Menow, Annette Buck (Arnold Buck Sr.), Eileen Martin, Shonda Patchenose, Melinda Patchenose (Ron), Lorna Ross (Lorne Ross); cousins Jake, Cyrus, Suzette, Savanna, Adam, and Geraldine Mercredi; and uncle Ricky Patchenose (Margaret Patchenose); If we forgot anyone, it was not intentional. Darcelle was predeceased by her mom Hazel Rose Lecuyer; grandparents Mildred Menow, Suzzette Absolum Patchinose, Riley Emma Patchinose, Robert Lecuyer; sister Sherri Lecuyer; brother Ajay Menow; nephew Conan Menow; and cousin Danielle Lecuyer. If we forgot anyone it was not intentional.
