Della McNabb

              It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear loved one, Della Yvonne McNabb. She passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025 at 5:21 pm with her family and friends by her side the Health Sciences Centre Hospital in Winnipeg.

              Della was a hard working, loving woman. She cared deeply about all her aunties, uncles, cousins and her friends especially her grandparents and all her babies as she would call them.

She loved cooking and everyone loved when she made her famous bannock. Della enjoyed cleaning up, doing laundry, visiting, playing music, picking berries, camping and babysitting for all her aunties, cousins and friends. Everyone knew her as "Del".

Del loved to laugh and make everyone around her laugh. She was never mad at anyone.  You could hear her little giggles and laughter when she was nearby and she would be outside enjoying a smoke. Her many uncles called her "brown potato" or "frying pan" and she had a nickname for everyone and all her babies.

Della lived all her life in Moose Lake. She was raised by her grandparents Don and Cecilia McNabb. During her childhood and teen years she attended RMS and FCI. Della had one son Gregory who was her pride and joy, then she was later blessed with her grandson Pressa McNabb. She loved and cherished both of them deeply and would spend all of her days with them.

During her life, she was a radio announcer for 1 year then she ventured off to be a tree planter  up north. Oh the stories she had to tell which was the best part of her, and she loved to tell them all. Della also struggled with her mental health and she fought a very hard and silent battle that was too late to be treated.
