Dennis George Caribou

Dennis George Caribou passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at the Flin Flon personal care home in Flin Flon, Manitoba.  He was a quiet and friendly man who loved being around family and friends.

Dennis was born on January 5, 1953 in The Pas, Manitoba to parents Emile and Flora Caribou.  Dennis came from a big family of twelve siblings.

Dennis loved being in the trapline in Limestone with his parents and siblings in his younger years.  He would often times travel on foot from the trapline to Sherridon, MB to sell furs and pick up supplies for his parents. He was a trapper, fisherman and loved to hunt with his parents and siblings.

Dennis enjoyed being outdoors, loved telling jokes and was a caring friend to everyone he was close to.  He liked to make family and friends laugh and would point at you when he saw you to show his humorous and joking self.

Throughout his life he stayed close to family and took on many jobs in northern Manitoba.  He was a trapper, commercial fisherman, fishing guide and wilderness fire fighter.

Dennis is survived by his brothers and sisters: Sam Caribou, Alphonse Caribou (Jeanette), Frances Caribou, Mary Dumas and Ruby Dumas (Mike).

Dennis was pre deceased by his parents Emile and Flora Caribou; grandparents Lydia and Alphonse Dumas; Anne and James Caribou; Siblings Walter Caribou; Jimmy Caribou; Morris Caribou; Mary Jane Colomb; Charlotte Caribou; Ruby Caribou (baby)

Dennis will be greatly missed but never forgotten.  If we forgot to mention anyone, we are very sorry as it was not intentional.
