Doris Iona Head, a devoted mother, grandmother, and pillar of her family, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at the age of 63 years. Mom was surrounded by love, she spends her life surrounding others with kindness, warmth, and unwavering care.
Born on Thursday, December 13, 1962, in The Pas, Manitoba, to Christina Mink (nee Wesley) and Stephen Mink from Easterville, Manitoba. Mom lived a life devoted to her family. Her greatest joy was being a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, and friend. Mom poured her heart into nurturing, guiding, and loving her family unconditionally. Her home was always a place of comfort, laughter, and open doors.
Doris was united in marriage with Alvin Kenneth Head on October 4, 1986. Together, they shared a sacred bond. Mom had a gentle spirit and a generous heart. She found happiness in the simple things; nature walks, time spend with family, uniting on family gatherings especially over the special occasions, meaningful conversations, hobbies such as cooking traditional foods, picking berries with her grandchildren, arts and crafts, garage sales, playing bingo, socialization with close family and friends. Her long visits with her dearest sisters, sister in laws, and friends. Mom loved to share her life stories and teachings from dearest in laws, Lizzie and Rosemary. She also adored her puppies; Snoopy, Peewee, G, Buffalo...
Creating memories with family gatherings that will be cherished forever. Mom was proud of raising her grandchildren; Monica, Trevor, Mercedes, Matthania, Steven, Jr, Marcella, Raylan, Norman, Kelsey. Her wisdom, patience, laughter, and quiet resilience touched everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Doris is survived by her husband Alvin Kenneth Head; and her children Sandra (Nolan) Sinclair, Theodore Head, Lizzie (Gilbert. Jr) Campbell, Kenneth Head, Stephanie (Derrick) Head, Christina (Carson) Patchinose, Steven (Melanie) Head; her grandchildren, Monica (Saul) Head, Mercedes (William) Head, Justice (Tessa) Sinclair, Nolan Jr (Tessa), Xavier Sinclair, Allan Sinclair. Trevor Head, Creena (Andy) Campbell, Gilbert Campbell III, Treena Campbell, Trenell Campbell, Chandler Campbell. Kelly (Devon) Head, Erica Campbell, Derrick Campbell Jr. Rashawn Patchinose, Cadence Patchinose, Aubrey Patchinose, Christine Patchinose. Matthania Head, Steven Head Jr, Marcella Head, Raylan Head, Norman Head, Kelsey Head; great grandchildren Bailey, Spencer, Scralett, Twins Sage and Shea, Soraya, Athena, Apollo, Kennedy, Brody, Alijah, Zayn and Kyzen; siblings Alice Monroe, Jennifer (Irving) Umperville, David Mink.
Doris was predeceased by her parents Stephen Mink and Christina Mink (nee Wesley); grandson Kade Patchinose; sister Mary Brass; mother-in-law Lizzie Head; father-in-law Zaccheus Head; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Edward Head, Philip Head, Howard Head, Leonard Head, Floyd Head, Syliva Chapman, Lena Neepin and Nancy Head.

Though our hearts are heavy with loss we are grateful for the beautiful life she lived and the love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on in the lives she shaped and the love she leaves behind.
