Elizabeth "Betty" Virginia Head

Elizabeth (Betty) Virginia Head was a loving partner, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, God mother, auntie niece, step sister and a friend. She left this world peacefully with her partner, Calvin by her side on Friday, March 21, 2025, at the age of 66 years. 

Betty loved spending time with her grandchildren, visiting family, loved travelling, pow-wow trips and reading novels.  Her field of work also took her to many surrounding communities.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her daughters Genevieve Bignell, Rona Bignell, Raven Constant; grandchildren John Charles Bignell Whitehead, Tenielle Collier, Darcie Bignell, Meadow Hynes, Patrik Hynes, Connor Hynes, Landon LaRonde, Brayden LaRonde, Preston Patchinose, Shane Patchinose; siblings Norman Head, Janet Head Annette Head, Rhonda Head and numerous brothers and sisters that were adopted into the family; stepsons Zeno Young (Tiffany, Michelle, Amber), Diego Cook, Charlie Lathlin; step granddaughters Shallana Constant, Gloria Bignell; step grandson Derek Jr. Constant; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends they all held a special place in Betty’s heart.

Betty was predeceased by her parents John Alfred Head and Hagar Head; daughter Tannis Hagar Bignell; nieces Gina and Jenna Head; granddaughter Khyla Mary Head; grandparents George and Lizzie Lathlin, Joe and Lillian Head and numerous uncles, aunties and relatives; stepson Derrick (Bobo) Constant; step granddaughter Emma Jane Young.

Betty will be greatly missed by her daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother, sisters and adopted family and community members.
