Eric Constant

Dad was born on Thursday April 2, 1947 to the late Thomas and Madeline Constant

Dad was united in marriage to Gladys Moore on December 4, 1971. Together they were blessed with eight beautiful children John, Grace, Lester, Edmund, Samantha, Erica, Rena, Spencer and later adopted Giselle. Together they also helped raise their nephews Reginald, Harold, Warner, Trent and nieces Melanie, Florence and Clara. Dad was a Godfather to Dale Ballantyne, John K, Constant, Brooke Head-Kanabee, Klerry Bignell-Horn, Ryan Moore and Farand Moore. Dad later remarried to Lucy Harris, together they were blessed with two beautiful children Derrick and Desirae. Step daughters Penny Harris and Helen Crain.

Dad worked most of his life at Manfor (Known as CKP). he loved taking his kids berry picking and having picnics with family and friends out by Bain Bridge. Dad was actively involved in the church of Messiah, he was a lay reader and caretaker; dad also travelled to Shoal Lake and Red Earth, Saskatchewan with is daughter Erica (as organist) to perform Sunday services. Dad enjoyed spending time at his camp fishing and hunting with Mike and Jon, and riding around with is grandchildren Nova and baby boy Briere. Dad also worked for the McGillivary Care home as the medical van driver and Joe A. Ross school as night security. Moshoom always had snacks, and treats for the kids and grandkids when they would come over, he was always concerned for their wellbeing and would check up on each of them. Dad always encouraged his children to do good in life, and Dads favorite saying was “Don’t do that!” and “Love people”.

Dad passed away peacefully with family and friends by his side on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at St. Anthony's Hospital, The Pas, MB at the of age 78 years.

Dad is survived by his wife Lucy; his children John (Pam), Lester (Al), Edmund (Cheryl), Samantha (Chris), Erica, Rena (Archie), Spencer, Giselle (Ira) Derrik and Desirae. His step children Penny (Jon) Helen (Denny); grandchildren Fawn, Kiana, Kenzie, Addison, Lochlan, Jenna, Megan, Aries, Erik, Zoey, Journey, Renesa, Gavin, Bailey, Waniya, Spear, Joseph Jr, Juanika, Israel, Cree, Hope, Winona, Risingsun, Yana, Tanksi, Brehnae, Hunter, Lynlee, Breckin, Conner, Eben, Mikelle, Declan, Zia, Nova, Briere and his chapans Caelyn, William, Ezra, Gustav, Paisley, Kenley, Ellie, Emerson, Erikson, Ella, and Aiden; his step grandchildren Cassie, Chais, Bryce and Kyler. brother, Bert Constant.

Dad was predeceased by his first wife Gladys Kathleen Constant (nee Moore); his daughter Grace; grandchildren Carson Brooks Goodbird, Carol Kathleen Fox, Winter Constant, and Emma Gladys Constant-Ross; stepdaughter Betsy Harris and stepson Charlie Jr.; his in-laws Harry and Ann Amelia Moore, Bernard and Joyce Moore, Eleanore Noel Young, Philip Head; his Goddaughter Cathy Bear; sisters Helen Young and Linda Sanderson; brothers Tommy Sr., Fred, Matthew, Joe, Simon, Willie, Charlie and Paul.  If we forgot anyone it was not intentional.
