Gladys (Castel) Morin

Gladys suddenly passed away at the Kikiwak Inn on Friday, October 31, 2025. 

Gladys lived with her common law husband Robert Charlette om Sandy Bay, Saskatchewan for 23 years.  She was always outgoing, friendly with others, always mentioned her grandchildren, telling young people to pray.

Gladys loved to travel and visit family and friends.  She would always stop by Pelican to visit Martin Michelle and family.  She would always make her daily phone calls to check on family.  She always mentioned her adopted children, her bingo friends and before ending the call she would say “I love you”.  When we would meet up she was always happy to family and friends.

Glady is survived by her common law Robert Charlelle and children: Son Franklin (felicia) and childern ; Ayisha, Maryann, Paul, Sasha, Leanne, Theresa, Cornelius, and melody; Son: Cornell (Amanda) and children Keyanne, Athanse, Cardell, Harmony, Tazanna, and Tailanna. Daughter: Anita Morin and her children; Cindora, Dreanna, Dendrick, Daniella, and Danielson. Daughter: Joy Morin and her children daughter: Latisha Morin. Son: Robert Morin. And her Chapans Rayden, Amiri and kayden. Sister: Ann Louise castel and children and grandchildren Brothers: Ernie castel and childern, emile (Florence) and children, Thomas castel and childern, leroy castel and childern and Phillip "bunker" castel and childern Cousins Eli (Shirley) Castel and children; Marie (John) Dumas and children; Robert and children; Napoleon and children; Richard and children; Sylvia and children; Alice and children; Moses (Anita) and children. Uncle Marcel (Anna) Caribou; aunt Sylvia and children.  Sisters-in-law; Flora Jane Castel & family, Geraldine Castel & family, Cathy Castel & family, Maureen Castel & family.  Cousins;  Margie Castel, Maureen (Gordon) Castel, Donna Castel & family and Marvin Castel.  Godchildren; Donna Doucette and Dehlia Bird, friends; Debbie (Hook) Colomb &  Richard Castel and numerous other friends and family in Pelican, Peguis, Pukatawagan and Sandy Bay.

Gladys was predeceased by her parents; Dennis and Mary Ann Castel, grandparents; Genevieve and Joseph Castel, sisters; Marie Sandra Castel and Rosalie Castel, brother Adam, uncles; Adam (Domathilda), Arthur (Margaret) Castel, Emile Caribou and Tom Caribou, aunts; Hilda Dumas, Caroline Daniels, late husband Cornelius Morin, other family; Henry Castel, Stanley Castel, Thomas Castel, Steve (Agnes) Castel, Veronique (Leonard) Ray, Marcel Castel, Donald Castel, Allison Castel and numerous other family and friends.
