Glenda Beth Benson

Glenda (Beth) Elizabeth Benson (nee Roller), age 70, passed away peacefully on Monday, 15 June 2026 at The Pas Health Complex, The Pas, Manitoba with her family and close friends by her side.

Born to Glen and Audrey Roller on 4 October 1955, Beth spent her early years in Winnipeg, Killarney, and Swan River, Manitoba growing up alongside her siblings.  Beth loved and cherished her younger sisters caring for them devotedly and treating them like precious living dolls.

Later, Beth met William J. Benson whom she married on 19 April 1975.  The couple relocated to The Pas, Manitoba where they built a life together and raised their blended family.  Beth was a devoted mother to Danny, Chris and Joel and step-mother to James (predeceased) Vienna, John, and Vanessa.

Beth is survived by her loving husband, William J. Benson, her sons Danny (Amanda), Chris, Joel (Stephanie) and John; daughters Vienna and Vanessa (Warren); her cherished grandchildren, Keith, Alex, Nicole, Brandy, Billy, Tori, Elise, Alyssa, Avery, Jaxon, Josephine, Jacquelyn, Rebekah, Elijah, and Jenna; her siblings, Dale, Barb, and Sherry; many nieces, nephews, cousins; and her beloved dog Polar. 

After graduating from high school, Beth pursued a career in nursing.  She completed her upgraded training at KCC now known as UCN College in The Pas, Manitoba, and began her nursing career at The Pas Health Complex.  For more than 25 years, she served with dedication and compassion, providing exceptional care to her patients and making a lasting impact on the lives of those she served until her retirement in 2019. 

Affectionately known for her never ending sense of humor and love of music, Beth was defined by her thoughtfulness, kindness, and generosity.  After retirement, she spent much of her time attending her grandchildren’s important activities, cooking meals for family gatherings, and treasured crafting that enriched many lives.

Her passing will leave a great void in the lives of her family and all those whose lives she has touched.  Beth will be missed dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
