Glenn Walter Lathlin was born in The Pas, Manitoba on Monday, May 15, 1961. Glenn passed away peacefully at the Health Sciences Center with family by his side. Glenn met his wife Madeline Lathlin in The Pas and they married on July 15, 1983, they were married for 24 years, together they had 2 children; Sam Lathlin & Harriet Lathlin and adopted twins; Chasity Grieves & Jade Grieves.
Glenn started his bus driving career with the Cook family, Irene & her husband, driving for them, he was the 3rd bus driver in Opaskwayak. Later, the late Jake Constant got Glen a job at OEA where he stayed employed since 1990 to 2023, he drove bus for 41 years. For his side jobs, he drove for City cab, the cement truck for the PBDC cement plant and he was also a front line fire fighter with Peter Buck and the late Simon Bignell. Glenn always volunteered his time singing at wakes for the community.
Glenn enjoyed spending time with his children, going for tea rides with his daughter Harriet and going for rides with his son Sam. He also enjoyed spending time with the twins, driving them around and going to Tim Horton’s with Chasity, his baby. You could always find Glenn at The Pas Billiards visiting Larry and playing in the leagues with his friends. You could also, always, catch Glenn playing Keno at the casino or the Wescana Inn. He would always ask his son in law Chris McKay to go for rides and spend time with his grandson Riley Glenn. Glen enjoyed going hunting with son and his best friend Frank " Baldy " Constant. He would always check on his best friend Mary Jane Constant. Glenn always enjoyed playing soccer with the Big Eddy warriors and soft ball with the Sang A Doors
Glenn was a very kind loving person, he took his niece & nephews as his own, he always checked on his loved ones, always attended Sunday services at the Church of the Redeemer, and he also worked for the church. Glenn had a very out going sense of humour.
Glenn met Lillian in The Pas, Manitoba, where they moved in with each other and stayed together until his passing.
Glenn leaves behind his children; Harriet (Chris) Lathlin, Sam Lathlin, Chasity Grieves and Jade Grieves his grandson Riley Glenn, numerous nieces and nephews and friends. Siblings; Leslie (Grace) Lathlin, Kenneth Lathlin, Bev Lathlin, Simon (Judy) Lathlin and Wesley (Myrna) Lathlin. His father in law; Douglas Dick, stepson’s; Stéphane Bruyere and Dezeray Nepitabo, brother in law; Norman (Beatrice) Dick, sisters in law; Audrey Dick and Phyllis (Rick) McPherson.
Glenn was predeceased by his parents Madeline & John Samuel Lathlin, his grandparents Harriet & Simon Ballantyne; his adopted son Darren " Buff " Young; sister Rosemary Lathlin-Cook; brother-in-law Thomas Cook and sister-in-law Rose Ducharme.
