Gregory Reginald Ballantyne

              Gregory Reginald Ballantyne, 58, of Moose Lake and Opaskwayak, Manitoba, passed away peacefully with family by his side Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at his residence.

              Greg was born Monday, August 28, 1961 in The Pas, Manitoba, at St. Anthony’s Hospital to Philip and Rose Ballantyne from Moose Lake.

              Greg graduated from Frontier Collegiate Institute in 1981 and from Keewatin Community College with his business administration diploma.  On August 28, 1981 he married the love of his life Della Rose Constant.  They were blessed with three children Gayle, Dale and Zigmund.  They were also blessed with grandchildren Sasha, Tessa, Jersey, Edward Jr., Baby Greg, Daejah, Jaden, Franki and one chapan Neveah.

Greg enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, going for truck rides with Della to the valley and spending time with his family and friends.  He will be remembered as helpful within the community and at family events.  He loved his kids, grandkids and chapan with all his heart.

Greg is survived by his wife Della; parents Rose and Philip Ballantyne; children Gayle (Edward), Dale (Jade), Zigmund; eight grandchildren Sasha (Sheldon), Tessa, Jersey, Edward Jr., Baby Greg, Daejah, Jaden, Franki; chapan Neveah; brothers Arnold (Sandra), Derrick, Cyril (Glenda); mother-in-law Rev. Priscilla Constant; In-Laws Irene, Tommy (Trudy), Glen (Charlotte), Allan, Sandra (Bart), Veronica, Val (Leon), Selena (Justin), Gabe; and many nieces and nephews too numerous to mention.

Greg is predeceased by his sister Leona Cochrane; brothers Floyd Ballantyne, Clarence (Bon) Ballantyne, Edward (Ric Flair) Ballantyne; nephew Lloyd “Soup” Genaille; niece Lenea Pelly; father-in-law Rev. Tom Constant.
