Lunch and Refreshments to Follow
Kenneth (Ken) was born Friday, July 2, 1971 in Lynn Lake, Manitoba to Sandra and Edward Salamanowicz. He is the middle child of 5 children. Ken passed away suddenly on Friday, April 17, 2026 at work in Fork River, Manitoba at the age of 54 years.
Ken was fortunate to find his niche in this world as a mechanic. He was excellent at thinking outside the box to solve problems. Often fabricating tools and parts needed to complete repairs.
Ken loved to work on and ride motorcycles. Most people when thinking of Ken would picture him either on or beside a motorcycle.
Ken enjoyed cruising down the back roads with long-time friend Lawrence looking for that little glimmer of a reflection off a windshield for a new project. Once found Ken and Lawrence would spend the days recovering them and pulling them out of the bush. Most of the projects people said they were crazy, but Ken ended up making them in to something beautiful.
Ken also enjoyed going for rides to Brandon to walk down every aisle at Princess Auto and PV Mart followed by a poutine at Joe Beaver’s; sitting with friends having coffee and showing all the stuff that he was building; and looking for that certain wrench with something just a little bit different. Lawrence says he doesn’t know any other man who has that many wrenches.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Shayley (Owen) Hart, her children Mackinnon and Makar Hart; father Edward (Dorothy); step-father Philip; sister Brenda; brother Edward (Carla); sister Terra (Mark); nephews Dustin (Crystal), Philip, Sam, Kaymen (Tori), Kenyen, Brendan; niece Kiara; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; the Devo’s family at Salty Fox Farms.
Ken was pre-deceased by his son Walter; mother Sandra; brother Dean.
