Kenny Nabess (1979-2023)
It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the untimely passing of our beloved son, father & brother Kenny.
Kenny was born September 10th 1979 in The Pas, Manitoba. He was a loved second son, a new brother to Sean and Jody and future big brother to Justin. Kenny grew up and lived most of his life in The Pas.
Kenny was thoughtful, quiet and yet a little mischievous, the latter he maintained to the end. Kenny loved to his fullest and lived life to the fullest. To know Kenny was to love him. He was intense, extremely talented and a perfectionist as a self-taught artist whose artwork can be seen across Canada. He believed that if you were going to do something, you must do it right or not do it at all.
The joy of Kenny’s life were his two boys Lukas and Brady who he loved unconditionally. Many days were spent at Clearwater Lake using grandma and grandpas “lake toys”, exploring the caves and just generally having fun in the sun. Kenny also enjoyed bringing his boys to Cormorant to spend time with their many aunts, uncles & cousins swimming, playing cards, jamming to music or just to “fish” (more like catch weeds!) with Grandpa Joe.
Kenny is survived by his parents Connie & Art and his children Lukas and Brady. Siblings Sean (Charlotte), Jody (Don) and Justin. Biological father – Joe (Sharon). Nieces Jordan (Brenden), Madison, Kennedy (Darius), Katie, Montana and Jersey. His nephews Logan (Stella) and Chance and Great niece Aubrey. Many aunts (Special auntie Susie), uncles and cousins.
Kenny was a fun-loving guy who was everyone’s friend.
Thank you for loving Kenny, he was one of a kind and will never be forgotten.
BROTHER
You gave no one a last farewell,
Nor ever said good-bye,
You were gone before we knew it,
And only God knows why.
A million times we will miss you.
A million times we will cry.
If love alone could have saved you,
You never would have died.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we love you still.
In our hearts you hold a place,
No one else can fill.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you didn’t go alone,
For part of us went with you,
The day God took you home.
We will meet again someday
I know in a better place.
I thank God he made you our brother
While you were here on Earth.
Love you Always and Forever,
Sean, Jody & Justin
