Marion Enid (Rogers) Cox

With sadness we announce the passing of Marion Enid (Rogers) Cox.  Marion was born Wednesday, May 15, 1935 in Alonsa Manitoba.  She grew up in Winnipeg where she attended Gordon Bell High School and was very proud of her achievements in various sports.

Marion moved to The Pas in 1953 with her family the late Chief of Police Edward Rogers and her mother Winnifred Rogers.  Marion was united in marriage to Ron Cox in 1956 and together they raised their family in The Pas.

Marion was an active member of the community.  She belonged to the Christ Church choir since 1953 as well as various community choirs beginning with The Pas Glee Club and ending just a few years ago with The Pas Community Choir.  She volunteered for many years with The Pas minor hockey, St. Paul's Personal Care Home, the OCN Blizzard and many others.  She was very proud of all the scarves she knit for the Manitoba Winter Games when The Pas hosted.

Memories will be cherished by her children Brad (Sandy) Cox and grandchildren Ryan and Brennen (Kylie); Gayle (Mike) Pouliot and grandchildren Amy (Dale) Pettit and greatgrandchildren Dominic and Kye; Colleen (Stan) Hill and grandchildren Jordy and Taryn; Jeanette (Ron) Campbell and grandchildren Jaron (Lauren), Leya and Daylon.

Marion was pre-deceased by her husband Ron Cox in 2007, her younger sister Barbara Lamb in 2019 and her older sister Yvonne Horch this past April 2020.

To a lot of people our mother was a real character, that's what made mom unique.

Marion also leaves many nieces and nephews from Manitoba, Alberta and the Yukon who would all agree that Aunty Marion was unique.

In keeping with family wishes, cremation will take place and a private family interment will take place when Covid restrictions ease.
