Marlene Fay (Watts) Johnson

Marlene Fay (Watts) Johnson was born to George and Ila Watts at their home on Patrick Avenue in The Pas, Manitoba on June 6, 1936. She passed away peacefully on February 2, 2022 at St. Paul’s Personal Care Home with her husband Gerald at her side.
Marlene married Gerald Clarence Johnson in The Pas on July 2, 1955. Together they moved to Victoria, Ottawa, Churchill, Cranberry-Portage and back to The Pas before retiring to their cabin at Clearwater Lake. During their travels, their 4 sons were born and they had a menagerie of pets.
Marlene loved her family, her friends, gardening barefoot, cutting the grass on her ride-on lawn mower, music, playing the piano, animals and drinking beer at Clearwater Lake.
Marlene was predeceased by her parents George and Ila Watts, sister Myrtle Bradt (Bob), sister Verna Grant (Harry), brother Arnold Watts (Eunice), brother George Watts (Rita), brother Derland Watts (Bunny), sister Sharon Marlow (John), and daughter-in-law Gail Johnson (Doug).
She is survived by her husband Gerald, sister Lorna Nohlgren (Gordon), sons Brian (Flo), Bob (Donna), Doug, and Glen (Joan), daughter-in-law MJ Donald, grandchildren Jaime (Marty), Michael, Susan (Taylor), Jordan (Amanda), Cabel (Carlin), and Alex, 14 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Shirley Wray (Garry) and numerous nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Marlene’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
