September 5, 2025, a wonderful mother, grandmother, friend left the earth to travel to her eternal home. We will mourn her passing, we will grieve, cry, laugh, but most important is the legacy she left for us to pursue in her memory. She was considerate of others, compassionate, kind and loving to all.
Our mom raised us to the best of her ability. She worked hard from dusk until dawn to ensure our well being. Her legacy she wants us to follow is to be kind to everyone, to teach our children values, respect, humility, and love.
We will miss our mother, our mentor, our pillar of strength. We will be alone, our mom would have wanted us to look after one another, help each other cope, not to lose focus on the meaning of life. She left to continue her teaching.
It was her time to return home. Mom’s spirit will live on. We will honor love, treasure her memory as that of a fun loving mother.
She left to mourn her passing, her children;
Barney (Cheryl) and their children Jodi, Hudson, Mathew, Janice, and Dylan.
Wilma (Greg), and their children; Darilyne, Gail,

A Tribute to Mother
I look at the northern lights dancing,
I will remember her.
I look at the sun peer through the brilliant horizon of dawn,
I will remember her.
I hear the northern birds cry out as they journey back,
I will remember her.
I hear the rustle of leaves blowing in the wind,
I will remember her.
The songs she loved to hear before bingo begins,
I will remember her.
The aroma of fresh baked bread cooling off,
I will remember her.
Her contagious laughter echoing as her friends settle in the chemo room,
we will remember her.
Matilda, a resilient, hard worker, caring and loving,
your memory will live on forever.
Love your children
