In loving Memory of Norman Dwight Martinson
Norm was born to Corey and Ida Martinson in Flin Flon, Manitoba on Monday, July 24,1944. Norman passed away peacefully in the Swan Valley Health Centre on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at the age of 80.
In 1955 at the age of 11, Norman moved with his family to Wanless, MB where he spent most of his life. Norm and Jude later moved to Birch River, MB in 2010 where he resided until his death.
Norman appreciated spending his time outdoors in nature, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, boating, and quadding. Norm loved music and he enjoyed his karaoke sessions. He loved hosting his many friends and family with a night of singing Karaoke. There were always a lot of laughs and good times when he was around, and we will cherish those memories. Norm was a very thoughtful and generous person, and he was always there to lend a hand. Norm was especially kind to all animals and will be greatly missed by his beloved pets Chloe and Kit Cat who he loved dearly.
Norm is survived by his wife Judy, Children Nicole McKinnon (Terry) of Grande Prairie, AB. Michelle Martinson Lowe (Warren) of Qualicum Beach, BC. Jason Martinson (Berneice) of The Pas, MB. Roxanne Hopkins of Novra, MB. Rodney Hopkins of Wanless, MB. Colleen Cook (Brian) of Winnipeg, MB.
Brother Don Martinson (Ruth) of Wanless, MB. Sister Karen Lambert of Clairmont, AB. Sisters-in-Law Eileen Martinson (Ken), Mavis Martinson (Lyle), Reta Beasley (Don) of The Pas, MB. Leona Turton (Ray) of Winnipeg, MB. Brother-in-Law Len DeBruin (Kim) of Swan River, MB.
Numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews, and many dear friends.
Norman was predeceased by his Parents Corey and Ida Martinson (Pengelley) Brothers Ken, Lyle, and infant brother Gene.
Heaven has gained another Angel, gone but not forgotten. Norm will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
