Norman Rogers Obituary

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of Norm [Norman] Alan Rogers. He passed on August 20, 2020 at the Health Science Centre in Winnipeg, having fought a long courageous battle with progressive Multiple Sclerosis. Norm was born and raised in Edmonton Alberta, and he moved to Northern Manitoba in his adult life. He was a long term helicopter pilot in Northern Manitoba with Custom Helicopters and the Conservation Helitac teams. He was also very proud to have been a member of The Pas Volunteer Fire Department. Right till the end he wanted to help who he could and he was successful in donating his liver and his kidneys to two transplant recipients that were in dire need. It is with this last generous donation of himself that the Gift Of Life Flag was raised on Monday August 24, 2020 for 2 days in his honour. He is survived by his loving partner Shirley Barbeau, his mother Lenore Lersberghe and family in Edmonton.

Norm’s final wishes were that no funeral service was to be held and that the internment be held privately. Donations may be made to the MS Society of Canada.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
