Percy Robert Genaille   

Dad was born August 18, 1950, in The Pas, Manitoba, to Zebras and Grace Genaille.  Dad lived most of his life in Cormorant, Manitoba.  His passion was hunting and trapping with his brothers.  He taught his sons and grandson Trevor everything he knew. He worked many years as town foreman in Cormorant.  He also enjoyed guiding in Reed Lake.  Dad loved all his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and most of all his wife.  Dad was loved and respected by all that knew him.  He loved to laugh and joke around with everyone.  He was known for his great sense of humour. 

Dad married the love of his life, Marie and together they raised and loved 7 children.  Dad worked hard to support his family. He did everything he could for them.  Dad enjoyed listening to “Friends on Friday” and listening to gospel music.  He would sent for Diana to come sing and play guitar with mom, he loved to hear them sing. 

In 2009 Dad started his battle with diabetes, he was so strong and fought so hard.  On Tuesday, April 5, 2022, he lost his battle.  He passed away peacefully with his wife by his side.  Dad is survived by his wife Marie Genaille; sons Kevin (Jenny) Genaille, Percy (Debbie) Genaille, Ernest (Bessie) Genaille, Carla (Leahila) Genaille, Bernell Rabbitskin; daughters Carmen Genaille, Carla Genaille; all his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, 12 brothers and sisters Philip Genaille, Audrey Nabess, Mildred Ducharme, Lawrence (Val) Genaille, Marie Lavallee, Susan (Al) Campbell, Patrick Genaille, Zebras Genaille, Henry Genaille, James Genaille, Germaine (Barron) Ross, Jennifer (Sammy) Ducharme, Anna (Steve) Desmonie; nieces and nephews.

Dad is predeceased by his son Melvin Genaille; parents Zebras and Grace Genaille; brothers Eugene Genaille, Victor Genaille; sister Bertha Ferland; brothers-in-law Simon Nabess, Ernest Lavallee, Brian Campbell, Henry Ferland; sister-in-law Helen Genaille.
