Peter Cramer

           Peter was born Thursday, July 24, 1947, in Holland in the Netherlands.  He came to Canada with his parents when he was 8 years old. They lived in Lynn Lake, Manitoba then later moved to The Pas, where he lived out his life working as a slasher operator with Manfor for over 20 years. Then Peter later worked for Repap until he retired in 2007.   Peter enjoyed his fishing, his music and telling jokes. Peter loved to make people laugh.

In 1977, Peter met and married Shirley Head, and became a stepfather to two young girls, making him a wonderful father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather.

In 2008 Peter moved to O.C.N to live with his daughter Wendy, where he lived out his life. On Wednesday, February 25, 2026 Peter passed away peacefully at St. Anthony's Hospital in The Pas, MB, at the age of 78 years.

Peter is survived by his daughters Sheila Head and Wendy Ballantyne; grandchildren Ann (Brad), Shirley, Shane (Kristy), Matthew (Shauntel), Candice (Travis), Curtis, Nelson, Cheryl and Leslie; and numerous great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson Santana.

Peter was predeceased by his parents Samuel and Andrina Cramer; sister Betty; brother-in-law Frank Burke; wife Shirley; and stepson Lester McGillivary.
