Rene was hard working, meticulous with a high standard for every project he undertook. He was a mechanic, pilot, aircraft maintenance engineer and entrepreneur. He was a hunter and a fisherman who enjoyed to travel but always happy to return home.
Home for a majority of years was Leaf Rapids Manitoba along the banks of the Churchill River where they operated R n D Aviation Ltd. We have many memories of family, friends and customers sharing the adventures in the north.
In 2004 at age 61 Rene was a double lung transplant recipient. The odds were against him surviving even a few hours but for his stubbornness which gave him 15 plus more years!
Retired in The Pas Manitoba since Oct 2008 he found peace in the Carrot River Valley.
A sincere thank you to all those who were involved in his care over the years as there have been many challenges.
As per Rene's wishes there will be no formal celebration of life. Instead consider becoming an organ donor and save lives.
