Robert Scott Cowie
Born Saturday, August 8, 1964 in Peace River Alberta to Garth and Mary Cowie. He is survived by his father Garth Cowie; daughter Kaitlyn; and sisters Leanne and Cheryl; niece Alexa; and nephew Carter. He was predeceased by his mother Mary Cowie.
Rob grew up in The Pas, MB where he got his love for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and exploring Clearwater Lake. He was an accomplished cook, owning and running several restaurants in Manitoba. His career developed into specializing in camps up North. His work took him all over Northern Canada including Nunavut. Some of the camps were in the extreme North and only accessed by helicopters or ice roads. He experienced some incredible sights and wildlife. In addition to camp cook, he was often the 1st responder.
Rob was known to have a generous personality with family, friends and anyone he met. He loved a good joke and was often an instigator of many good pranks.
Rob was family orientated and a loving son and brother. His greatest love has always been his daughter Kaitlyn. He couldn’t have been more proud of her. He is loved dearly and will be greatly missed.
