Uncle Bob
I met uncle bob during the 2019 Italy Croatia trip. Man did we ever have so much fun! I dragged him up the Great Wall of old town Debruvnik Croatia, and we got lost is Pompeii for a good 30 mins. He was such a sweet man and I’ll never forget uncle bobs kindness to me during that trip becasue I didn’t know anyone lol Rest In Peace uncle bob, I’ll miss you so. Condolences to everyone who knew him.

My parents had a cabin at mile 25 (as it was known then) next door to the Hayes family. This is where my sister Cherie and I got to know and really like Bob. Like many other lucky people, Bob taught her and I to waterski and with his many boats to enjoy the magnificent Clearwater Lake. Bob was a man of many talents - to mention a couple - he was a formidable defenseman for the Huskies and a well respected Sargent in the Air Cadets. But where he really shined was his mentoring of young people. He chaperone many, many of them on overseas trips. He once remarked to me that he couldn't understand why all these girls were always asking him for advice. Simple answer was he was honest and trustworthy. Bob was a truly wonderful human being. It would be fitting if mile 25 could be renamed BOB HAYES BAY.
