Rodney was born into a very large family to start out his life. He may have grown up “poor” but was rich with family.
Rodney was blessed with eight wonderful children Freda, Unique, Halo, Tiffany, Kashtin, Amber, Joshua and Michelle. Rodney had four beautiful grandchildren who he loved dearly. He had two beautiful ladies who brought children into his life. He met the love of his life Cheyanne Brightnose in March of 2016. He was very fond of his siblings Desirae, Despina, Christina, Rilee, Melanie, Karlee, Pamela, and Tito. As well as many nieces and nephews.
Rodney had a good run in life in his younger years. He was young, wild and free. He settled down in 2007 when he had his first born baby girl Freda. He then moved to Regina Saskatchewan in 2011. Rodney was accepted into a construction program and later transitioned to the trade. He graduated from his program and received his certifications for his red seal in construction. He blossomed from here, everything in Rodney’s life was centered on family and friends for Rodney. Every summer you would find him at the lake sea dooing and boating with all the family and children. He was grateful for everyone in his life; Rebecca Garrison and Henry Flett for his upbringing, his aunties and uncles for always looking out for him. He was very fond of his aunties Rose, Barbra, Doris, Margrete, Wendy and Geraldine and Uncles Mike, Tony, Delbert, Ernie, Dennis, Riley John and Bruce for being there. Rodney also had two Godchildren who he was very grateful for Antonio Campbell and Nigel Flett – Lathlin. Rodney was a happy guy with his own friend group he created. Rodney had a heart of gold and a smile that could light up a room. Throughout his life Rodney loved to hunt and fish with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Rodney is predeceased by his mom Freda Flett (Quill), dad Rodney Flett Sr.; brother Elliott Flett; uncles Norman Moore, Garth Flett, Patrick Ettawakapow; grandparents John and Agnes Flett and Roy and Winnie Quill; aunties Florence Quill and Josephine Budd; cousin Michael Flett; nephews Andries Flett and Anthony Munro; if we forgot to mention anyone it was not intentional.
