Ronald Jim Bourquin
1949 - 2023
Ron passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family on September 12, 2023, at the age of 74.
The gift of Ron's life will be forever cherished by his wife of 54 years, Sharon (nee Frank); daughter Carla (Peter) Kobar (grandchildren: Carter, Tanner and Kailey) and daughter Tara Poulin (grandchildren: Donovan, Payton, Braiden (Hannah), and Dawson, and great grandson Rylan). He will also be dearly missed by his siblings: Lorna (George) Derry, Linda (Rick) Perry and Joanne (Neil) Rushton, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son Derek Bourquin and his parents: Jim & Irean Bourquin.
Ron served in the fire service as a volunteer, starting in 1969, and then moved to The Pas, Manitoba in 1989 to serve as Fire Chief, and remained in that position until his retirement in 2011. Ron and Sharon returned to their hometown, Estevan, Saskatchewan in 2023.
Respecting Ron's wishes, no formal services will be held.
