Sandra Rhodes Obituary

Sandra Lorraine Rhodes was born on January 28, 1957, in Sandy Bay, SK. Creator took Sandra into His eternal home on Monday, March 31, 2025 at the age of 68 years old. She peacefully journeyed into the spirit world surrounded by her loving family.

Sandi, as she was affectionately known, was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was one marked by strength, love, kindness, compassion, humor, fellowship and humanity.

Sandi’s childhood years were spent living in Pukatawagan with her loving parents Luke and Caroline Dumas (Nee Bear). She also spent many of those years with her grandparents, Rapheal and Demoley Bear (Nee Dorion) in Sandy Bay, Saskatchewan. Because she spent so much time with her grandparents, she grew up having an extra special bond with them.

Sandi had a passion for helping people. She always showed love and compassion to everyone she came into contact with. She always helped people when she could and truly believed in the power of love.

Sandi dedicated her life to helping and healing others. She had a deep desire to bring light to those in need, especially for people who were less fortunate. She helped those closest to her, but she also helped and gave to complete strangers who needed to be seen and needed love, kindness and compassion. She epitomized joy and had a kind, loving, generous nature.

Sandi had a very adventurous and free spirit. She loved taking unexpected, last minute road trips to surprise family and friends who lived far away when they least expected it. The most unexpected visit was when she drove from Manitoba to Alberta to have a coffee with her sister.

Sandi had an undeniable strength that many people identified and admired. Although she faced many trials in life, she always stood strong and faced the storm with bravery. The strength and resilience that she carried continued throughout her life until her last breath.

Those who knew Sandi will remember her for her wit and her ability to make people laugh. Sandi’s sense of humor was sometimes dark, which was sometimes shocking to others. She had the ability to find reasons to smile and laugh in times of sadness.

Although Sandi's is not here in the physical world, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. She left a legacy of love, kindness and compassion. Her light will forever shine brightly in our hearts.

Sandi’s passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by her. We ask that you remember her for the way she lived life, and for the profound impact she had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Sandi will be lovingly remembered by her children, brothers, sisters, family and friends.

She is now reunited with her grandparents, parents and numerous family members that have gone before us.
