Longtime resident of Cormorant, Manitoba, Simon “Chug” George Nabess passed away Saturday, March 7, 2020 at St. Anthony’s Hospital, The Pas, Manitoba at the age of 78 years.
Chug was born on Sunday, May 25, 1941 to Mary Thomas Nabess and John Nabess. Chug started working at age 15 for the CNR until he retired in 1998.
Chug loved to fish, hunt, garden and going to the casino and teasing family and friends. Chug loved to spend time with his grandchildren. Chug also cared for his dogs Deigo and Chico for many years.
Chug is survived by his long time partner Mildred “Chiggy” Ducharme; grandchildren Robert Nabess, Krista Nabess (Kyle), Jaylynn Williams; great grandchildren Adonis Nabess; Godchildren Dale Genaille, Carl Jr. Genaille; in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Chug is predeceased by his mother, father, siblings and daughter Paula Ducharme; and many other family members too numerous to mention.
