Sylvia Waytiuk (Ross) was born on Saturday, June 9, 1945, to her parents, Jane Lathlin and Art Dorion. She unexpectedly passed away Friday, July 11, 2025, with family by her side son Reginald Warnock and daughter Rhonda Warnock and daughter in-law Sandra Wog and sister Lydia Constant and uncle Gary, at St Paul’s Personal Care Home, The Pas, Manitoba, at the age of 80 years.
Sylvia was one of six children that all grew up The Pas, she went to school in The Pas she had a large amount of family throughout the reserve and was loved by many.
Then Sylvia met Murray G. Warnock, and they had three children Reginald Murray Warnock, Rhonda D. Warnock and Melinda Ruth Warnock.
Sylvia loved to play bingo in her spare time, she also called bingo in Prince George where she raised her children while providing for them travelling around British Columbia going to reserves on the west coast and up north to help Indigenous families upgrade their homes.
Sylvia had a passion for helping people when ever they needed help she would help friends and family.
Sylvia battled numerous health conditions throughout her life, which contributed to her passing.
Sylvia is survived by her son Reginald Warnock; daughters Rhonda and Melinda Warnock; grandchildren Travis, Brianna, Brad and Brittany; great grandchildren Daxton, Dayana, Drianna, and Dawson; her two sisters Lydia (Gary) Constant, Caroline (Cheta) Ross; and brother Jimmy Crivia; numerous nieces and nephews.
Our mother was reunited with her parents Jane Lathlin and Art Dorion; brothers Raymond Ross, Philip Dorion and Larry Flett; and her sister Victoria Merasty (Ross). If we forgot anyone it was not intentional.
