Trudy Margaret Young was born on Friday, May 20, 1970 to James and Suzette Young.
Trudy passed away with family by her side, Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at the Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg, Manitoba, at the age of 55 years.
Trudy is survived by her daughters: Alexis and Jayda; her grandchildren, the twins, Ramonin and Ravainah and Raylyn (choots); her mom Suzette; siblings Layne (Leah) and Garfield; her aunties Stella, Beverly (Clarence), Lucy (Ernest); her uncle Gordon; her Godson Wayne Young; and so many cousins and friends too many to mention.
Trudy graduated from MBCI with honours she furthered her education to get some secretary courses and then to receive her early childhood level 2. She had several jobs over the years, her most recent job was with child and family services as secretary, she also worked for Swampy Cree, Joe A. Ross School, commercial fishing building, Hilda Young Childcare, Sweet Grass Homeless Centre.
When Trudy was younger, she took part in the Opaskwayak Indian Days mother and daughter paddling competition, she often practiced paddling with her mom during those summers. She also competed for the Princess Pageant as “Miss Big Eddy Lasers” who she also played soccer with. For a time she played hockey and later became a fan for her grandchildren, jogging with her dad in Bracken Dam. So many memories to put in here but she loved being athletic. She loved life and lived to the fullest.
Trudy was predeceased by grandparents Jim and Hilda Young, Joseph and Hilda Sinclair; her dad James Young; her niece Eva Lee Young; her son Jaden; her uncle Danny (Lalee); and so many more aunties, uncles and family members too numerous to mention. If we forgot anyone it was not intentional.
