Wally Caribou

Wally Edward Caribou was born Sunday, January 15, 1978 in Lynn Lake, Manitoba.

 Wally passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at the St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 47 years.

  Wally’s hobbies in life were fishing, firefighting, going to Pow-wows and spending time with his children, family and friends. He had a humorous way of making people laugh.  He was kind hearted.  He will be missed dearly from family, friends and his children. Wally’s love of life and memory now live on through everyone who knew him, especially his mother Maryann Bighetty.

Wally will rest in paradise with his dad Walter Caribou and family that went before him.

Wally is survived by his children Anthony Caribou, Owen Caribou, Ericson Caribou, Joel Caribou, Zachary Caribou; mother Maryann Bighetty; brothers Alphonse Caribou, Norman Caribou, Garfield Caribou; step-sisters Cassandra Cook, Jessica Bighetty; nieces Shaniquia Cook, Cassidy Cook, Maryann Cook, Dreama Castel; step-niece Adison Hunt; nephews Evan Bighetty, Norman Hunt-Caribou, Joseph Hunt-Caribou, Alvin Bighetty, Tybarias Bighetty, Hemsley Caribou, Austin Castel, Alvin Castel, Garfield Caribou, Holden Castel, Khaos Castel; aunties Agnes Beardy and family, Angie Dumas and family, Maryanne Beardy and family, Francis Caribou and family, Mary Caribou and family, Ruby Dumas and family, Coreen Castel and family, Marie Dumas and family; uncles Louie Bighetty and family, Simeon Bighetty and family, Soloman (Anne) Bighetty and family, Paul Colomb and family, Edward Colomb and family, Dennis Caribou and family, Sam Caribou and family, Bradley Castel and family.
